There are three credit bureaus in Australia: Equifax/Veda, Experian, and Illion/D&B. Each of these credit bureaus obtains different information for each individual and calculates credit risk in different ways to give an overall picture of whether a lender may want to accept your credit application. Your credit score may therefore change depending on which credit bureau you have used to access your score and file. In addition, your credit score is constantly updating and evolving depending on your circumstances and financial behaviour, including when you pay off a credit card in full or maintain your monthly payments on your phone bill. As each credit bureau calculates your credit score differently you may find your score fluctuates to different degrees with different credit bureaus depending on your circumstances and financial behaviour. |
